With over 3200 lakes, the Minocqua - Arbor Vitae - Woodruff Wisconsin area has one of the largest concentration of fresh-water lakes in the world. The area has countless streams and brooks, and is also the headwaters of the two largest river basins in Wisconsin: the Wisconsin River and the Chippewa-Flambeau Systems. All of these waters are teaming with a wonderful variety of sport and panfish.

Kurt’s Island Sport Shop is located just north of downtown Minocqua, on Highway 51, and is open 365 days a year.
