Minocqua Area Fishing Report - 11/10/25

First ground covering snow of the season the past couple days (11/9-11/10). Enough to show some white, but not as much as our neighbors up in Mercer (7”) or our neighbors in Illinois received. But enough to cool the waters even further. With temps pre-snow and cold (down to 15° reports from Boulder Junction), what started out as surface temps of 45-49° has surely dropped. I’ll find out today as we venture out to fish Muskies!
With cold and lots of wind, not many anglers ventured out. A scouting trip Friday for Walleyes found Crappies in 40’ of water. Musky guide Jake Smith had a two fish day Saturday, before the weather turned worse on Sunday.
Some skim ice has formed on parts of the pond behind the shop as well as the channel between Minocqua and Lake Tomahawk. Weather looks to warm for the weekend (Fri, Sat and Sun) before cooling off again come Monday (11/17).
Buck activity has been high as the rut seems to be in full swing. Don’t forget to sign up for the 2025 Gun Season Big Buck Contest by Nov 21st at the shop.
Dec 5th, 6th and 7th are the dates for the Ice Extravaganza! The dates are set…deals still in the works.
Keep December 13th open to attend a fundraiser for the Headwaters Chapter of Walleyes for Tomorrow. Meat, Guns and Rod/Reel Combos to be raffled off at Meggies (formerly Anglers) in Manitowish Waters from 4pm – 7pm to raise money for continued operation of the Portable Fish Hatcheries on the Manitowish and Minocqua Chains.
