Minocqua Area Fishing Report - 11/10/25

First ground covering snow of the season the past couple days (11/9-11/10). Enough to show some white, but not as much as our neighbors up in Mercer (7”) or our neighbors in Illinois received. But enough to cool the waters even further. With temps pre-snow and cold (down to 15° reports from Boulder Junction), what started out as surface temps of 45-49° has surely dropped. November is here and its not just the calendar that says so, it looks and feels like November. Wind and cold. Lake surface temps ranging 45-49°. Lots of lows in the 30’s forecasted with a possible day below freezing by week’s end. Musky: Good-Fair – As the water keeps cooling so does the action. Bite windows are smaller, usually during the late morning/mid-afternoon time periods. Suckers still the best option, though some action on slow moving gliders, rubber and tube

Rounding out the last weekend of October. Weather above average for this time of year. Lake temps holding steady from 47-51°. Still some leaves on the trees with afternoon temps in mid to upper 40’s, pleasant out of the wind. Most anglers’ attention on Musky, Walleye and Crappies at this time with lakes nearly all turned over, patterns settling down. If you weren’t here over the weekend, you missed the peak of the fall colors! Yes, it was a might cold and windy some days, but just a beautiful time in the Northwoods! Still plenty to see, but with wind and cold, maybe not for long. Now to the fishing report! Surface temps on lakes reading 55-59° over the weekend. Real Fall is here! It’s in the air, the trees, and the water temps! Finally seeing these surface temperatures in upper 50’s to lowest of 60’s. The fall sucker bite is underway and despite all the high pressure and the full moon, fishing has picked up! Not everyday and all the time (that’s fishing) some daily windows have been small, but still on a positive upswing! Musky: Good-Very Good – Definitely sucker fishing time!
